I don’t know about you, but I have wandered into a few “bakeries” thinking they were for human consumption, only to learn that those delicious baked goods I was salivating over, were for pets!  Ever happen to you??

What a great business that is and it seems more and more dog treat bakeries, pet treat bakeries, and gourmet dog bakeries are popping up.  Since I’m always curious about the new and upcoming ways to start your own business, I thought I would do some research on this topic.

When I did a search in Google for Dog Treat Bakery, over 3,000,000 results popped up!  Some of these businesses are online stores, while others are brick and mortar locations. Now, for someone looking to start a business and thinking, wow, that’s a saturated market, think again!  I did a search for Pet Treat Bakery, and only 256,000 result appeared. This means it’s a great Pet Niche to get into, it’s obviously a growing industry, and there’s plenty of keywords for this type of business that has a ton of growth potential.

During my research, I came across this step-by-step guide “Turning Your Passion For Pets Into A Six-Figure Income”  that has a ton of great information and is written by 2 people who have a background in the Pet Industry.  One of them has launched hundreds of products into the pet industry while a senior manager in PETsMART’s food and treat group.  The other is a former CEO of Farnam Pet Products, President of Happy Dog Toys and currently President of eBizWize, LLC, (an internet-based pet consulting company) has an extensive operational and functional experience, routinely earning several thousand dollars a day consulting with up and coming pet products companies.

They seem to know their stuff!  After I read through the information, Click Here! even I was intrigued about starting a business like this!  The information states:

Since I have my own experience walking into Pet Bakeries and not realizing it, then being excited to buy some baked treats for friends of mine who have dogs, I felt this was a good start up business idea to share.
