I came across an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that said there will be over 500 summer youth jobs available through the city of Pittsburgh.
The Pittsburgh Summer Youth Program is for those between the ages of 14 to 21 and is paid for with Federal Funds. The jobs will include outdoor work such as improving parks and vacant lots, as well as indoor interships with businesses in the area.
Applicants need to apply in person no later than May 25th. Applications are available at:
pittsburghpartnership.org, and at YouthLINK Offices located at 2600 East Carson St. and 5321 Penn Avenue.
For more information contact Jim Brenner, Youth Programs Supervisor for the Pittsburgh Partnership, at 412-552-7035 or jbrenner@pghcareerlink.org.
