Twitter is a free social media and mini blogging tool. It’s starting to be used a lot more by Recruiters and employers to advertise job openings, business services, and products. Now Twitter has added TwitterJobSearch.com which is a job search engine for Twitter.
With the Twitter Job Search Engine, you can type in a phrase or keyword and search for job opportunities that are being Tweeted on Twitter. The Twitter Job Search Engine then indexes those jobs, making it easier to search jobs that are being posted on Twitter.
You could do more specific job searches by using the advanced tab which allows you to add keywords and phrases in your search. For example, I clicked on the advanced tab and in the field “have all these words”, I typed Pittsburgh, engineer, and 120 results were found.
I suggest adding TwitterJobSearch.com to your job searching efforts so you can stay up to date on openings being added through twitter
